At A2A Life Ventures, we have combined eight lines of value which, together, form a multi-lever system able to activate the entire spectrum of innovation. We start at Open Innovation (thanks to collaboration with start-ups and external partners) and arrive at the development of digital and AI solutions and at the creation of proprietary assets and the direct support of the initiatives.

Monitoring new strategic areas and technology trends for the Group, investing in early-stage European start-ups in line with the 2024-2035 Strategic Plan through an extensive investment programme built around 360 Life II, the largest climate tech fund in Italy, with the objective of developing industrial synergies between the companies portfolio and the Business Units.
Monitoring international ecosystems, scouting innovative technologies. With external help, we handle the prototyping of new physical products not existing on the market and we promote A2A Life Ventures assets on the market.
Setting out strategic roadmaps and developing AI solutions, with a focus on agentic and physical applications to enable new industrial models and strengthen the Group’s competitiveness.
Supporting the Group’s digital transformation processes: from activities of service design for idea generation to the creation of short-cycle and rapid-release digital products.
Focussing on accompanying and technological de-risking of an industrial nature, supporting the Business Units in the stage of validation and approval for market of emerging technologies, in particular those of medium-high TRL.
Guiding the definition of the strategy of A2A Life Ventures in coordination with the other lines of value. Connecting foresight and execution; monitoring the project portfolio and exploring futuristic projects, measuring impacts and handling the external promotion of results.
We support the governance and safeguarding of priority project planning, managing and fostering immaterial assets so as to boost their competitiveness.
