The Intrapreneurship (Internal Entrepreneurship) programme is the heart of the Group’s internal innovation.
A scheme through which to accompany colleagues in the development of their ideas, constructing and incubating projects that can bring new value to A2A’s businesses or create new services with a great strategic impact for the Group.
The ideas that we select can arrive through various channels, from internal challenges, from our Innovation Communities or from proposals sponsored by our management.
The most promising projects follow development within the Business or undergo Corporate Venture Building.
Corporate Venture Building (CVB) is a model focussing on the incubation, acceleration and scalability of a selected number of projects with a great strategic impact.
The objective of CVB for A2A is to make the most of the innovation by providing a framework of skills and resources. In this way, we foster the creation of a pipeline of new products and services for the Group. Those ventures that are created within the CVB follow a dedicated pathway of exploration, validation and launch.

We create a strategy of entry into a new market, arriving at the validation of financials and the launch.
Innovative projects aimed at the specific and strategic needs of A2A businesses. With the support of the Innovation managers, the ideas of our internal innovators (intrapreneurs) undergo a process of exploration, development and scale-up.
We identify areas of growth and work on the generation of the idea.
We move on to the experimentation design and to the creation of a business case in order to initiate the pilot project.
We assess the impact and look for the best way to take the project into the Business Unit.
